The Sylas Project
Started in honor of my son. Swim scholarships for low-income families nationwide, so more children learn to be safe in the water.
For nearly 20 years, I’ve designed at the edge of what’s next. At Magic Leap, I helped blend the physical and digital worlds, designing Helio, the first mixed reality browser for spatial computing. At BASIC, I reimagined e‑commerce for Google and Amazon.
Becoming a mom of 3 boys made it personal. In honor of my son, I founded The Sylas Project, a nonprofit reforming legislation to protect more children and bringing swim lessons to low-income families nationwide. That mission led me to Owlet, to help keep other babies safer.
Today I’m Head of Design at Owlet, where I helped earn FDA clearance for the Dream Sock, built Owlet360, its first subscription, from the ground up, and created the brand framework behind its AI-native products. I’m also building Grow, which I pitched to Owlet, to guide parents from the moment they find out they’re expecting.

I’m always glad to connect with founders, teams and organizations building for families, health and safety, or whatever comes next.
I’m a design leader and a mom of three boys, with close to 20 years of experience shaping products and brands. Ideas are the beginning for me. Making them real is the part I love. That drive took me from designing Helio, the first mixed reality browser, at Magic Leap, where my work led to more than 20 patents, to reimagining e-commerce for Amazon and Google at BASIC.
Today I lead design across product and brand at Owlet, helping parents feel confident while keeping their children safe. AI has changed what one person can make: I design, write, prototype and ship real products myself, and it has amplified what I can do creatively in ways I never expected. Grow and PitchDrop both came from that, and building them has been some of the most fulfilling work of my life.
My favorite projects are the ones that leave the world a little better than we found it, the ones that reach families in a moment that matters, where the ripple of one small change can change a life. Motherhood made that personal. I founded The Sylas Project in honor of my son, providing swim scholarships to low-income families nationwide, so more children learn to be safe in the water. We’re currently working with the Senate and the House of Representatives on legislation to keep children safer around water.
A team commits to a feeling faster than to a feature list, so I lead with the story of the person on the other side.
Every idea has to earn its place by what it changes, for families and for the business. I track it, own it and let the evidence sharpen the next decision.
I prototype, explore and ship with AI every day, and I bring my team and partners along, so anyone with an idea can shape it, test it and see it come to life.
When something is hard, I like the challenge. I’d rather take ownership and find a way than wait for one.
Their growth and their happiness matter to me as much as the work. People do their best work when they feel seen, supported and trusted to push boundaries.
Product, brand expression, UX, content, copy and how it’s built. I like getting my hands into all of it. The traditional roles are merging. It’s one of the most exciting times for design.
